Land Cruiser Refurbishment Program (East Africa)
Challenge: Refurbish a fleet of 1,500 Toyota Land Cruisers that had been left idle in a vehicle graveyard.
Solution: Conducted a full technical and economic assessment to identify units suitable for recovery. Implemented a structured refurbishment program through OEM-aligned workshops and redeployed the vehicles into municipal operations.
Outcome: Extended fleet life by over five years at a fraction of new-vehicle replacement cost, achieving significant savings and restoring operational capacity.
Refurbishment & Maintenance Center (SSA)
Challenge: Need for a centralized facility to refurbish and maintain a large fleet of heavy-duty trucks.
Solution: Designed and built a 200-vehicle refurbishment program maintenance center equipped for high-volume overhaul and OEM-standard servicing.
Outcome:Refurbished over 200 heavy-duty trucks and implemented a training program enabling local staff to manage the facility post-handover, reducing downtime and replacement costs through structured preventive maintenance.
Nationwide Audit of OEM Vehicles & Parts (East Africa)
Challenge: A creditor required verification of a $14 million consignment of OEM vehicles and spare parts delivered to a local dealer amid discrepancies in reported inventory and condition.
Solution: TechSupportXL conducted a nationwide physical inspection across multiple sites to verify stock levels, assess asset condition, and confirm compliance with delivery and storage terms.
Outcome: Provided a comprehensive audit report confirming verified assets, identifying losses and non-compliant storage, and enabling the creditor to recover and reconcile the consignment accurately.
